It's fall...

And along comes Oktoberfest and all of the other fall festivals with it! So with the season change I will change my view on cupcake flavors. Out with the lemons and in with the pumpkins and spice!
Well, to get to the root of this post..
My business is still just a blog. *sigh* But since it IS fall and the above activities are soon-to-be in full swing I have an opportunity to take my cupcakes to the streets! I'm planning on having a cupcake stand at a local fall festival. Well its our areas "Mardi Gras".
THIS. IS. MAJOR.

I have wanted so long for the public to taste what I can do. Not just my family.
So since I have gotten that out of the way its time for FLAVOR.

You have the classic pumpkin and spice cake but I am feeling fruit right now.
Apples and Pears and bananas etc. Don't get me wrong a pumpkin cupcake will be tested and if all goes well it will be sold.

Ideas would be appreciated. If anyone is following me.. =]

LINE UP AS OF RIGHT NOW..
Cranberry and chocolate something or other.
Banana and peanut butter(of course).
Apple and bacon something or other.
Pear and almond something or other.
Pomegranate spiced something or other.
And I may even offer some of the other signature flavors as well.

Cupcakes.

It has been such a long time since I've posted.. And its such a shame. So much has happened but this blog isn't about me its about CAKE! So lets get down to the nitty gritty! I'm sure you are wondering why the title is cupcakes,it's simple really. I'm renewing my ultimate goal(unfortunate dampers).. After much consideration, I have decided that I'm going to do it. I'm opening up a shop where I'm going to serve strictly cupcakes. Until I'm ready professionally and financially to add things such as birthday and wedding cakes. This is something that I've thought about extensively and I've decided that this is my dream. This is my life. I'm doing this. This is what I want people to define me as. If I don't follow my dreams then whats life worth? I'm walking through life in a lull, and its time for a change, hell It's time for batter and frosting! That being said lets hit up the the low down.
Every shop needs at least 5 core flavors, in my opinion.
Here are mine..
1. Peanut Butter and Banana
2. Dreamsicle
3. Dark Chocolate with Raspberry filling
4. French Vanilla
5. Maple Bacon
Entitled: Signature Collection.
I dreamed up this menu for a friends birthday, and I loved the turn out on each cake so I decided these were the ones. I will eventually get a recipe for all the ideas in my head. Which are pretty interesting nonetheless. I have ideas for merging sweet and savory tastes(OH YES), and my twisted takes on classics. Shit could get real in the kitchen so watch out.

Alas, its getting late so I'm shutting it down, but fear not!..

Humble Beginnings..

To begin with, I love baking. Soon to be a pastry chef. I'm too legit to quit. =].. My second passion in life is music. Point is; my ultimate goal is to somehow merge these 2 passions into some sort of Frankenstein-like monster of epic proportion. A cupcake producing super company of sorts. But like all companies this one is just starting out and is still in infancy so all I have to show currently is this blog. Which is here for me to tell the world of my experimentation, the few failures and many successes. All of which will be featured in my soon-to-be shop.. Recipes and pictures will be included so you too can bake many "Mad Batters"! As you can probably already tell I'm a bit of a free spirit, so that is the vibe I want in this blog. Musical inspirations will also be a strong theme here as well so any new music is always welcome too. Feel free to add your ideas and post some pictures of your work as well. I would love nothing more than to start a cupcake cult! Sugar zombies unite!! I sometimes have an inability to keep up with things like this but I will try my damndest to keep up with this. This one is very important to me.
